Kim believes the path to wellness is possible for everyone, and that each journey is unique. She creates a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their relationships with themselves and others. Using a relational approach, Kim recognizes how relationships, culture, and society influence well-being. She is passionate about drawing on clients’ strengths and provides a grounding presence through the difficult emotions that can arise in therapy.
Kim works with teens and adults across the lifespan. Her approach emphasizes collaboration and empowerment, helping clients navigate challenges and build resilience. She integrates evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs to foster growth, self-awareness, and healing.
Kim utilizes techniques from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Cultural Theory, and other evidence-based modalities. She draws on her relational approach to support clients in understanding the impact of their experiences, relationships, and environments on their mental health and well-being.
Kim earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University. She has professional experience in a variety of settings, including working with children and teens in foster care, wilderness therapy, and residential programs. Her background equips her to work effectively with diverse client needs across developmental stages.
Kim grew up on Whidbey Island in Washington state and has lived in Central Oregon since 2015. She enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities and is rarely seen without her pup, Willow, who provides cuddly comfort during therapy sessions and adds a warm, friendly presence to her office.
